Anything interesting you've been watching

Post by Gavin E. Sparks » Sat May 27, 2017 2:20 pm

I know we have a thread regarding what anime you're watching, but why not one that focuses on TV shows. Whether it's a cartoon, live-action, foreign, etc., name it.
Have you finished those errands?

I've fallen in love with "Into the Badlands". It's predictable and stupid at times, but the costume design and the fact whenever anything drags wuxia style kung fu happens makes it some great TV.

The Carmichael Show is back and it's still as funny and daring as I remember it. It's nice to find a show that is willing to tackle subjects (like BLM (it was aired before the group got really extreme), transexuality and now the question if drunken sex on both sides counts as rape) without being self-rightous, SJW-ridden and actually showing multiple sides to the argument with a good sense of humor. It sort of follows a bit in the style of All in the Family in that way.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to the new season of Ink Master.

I've been watching this little comedy called Duckman. It's pretty funny.
Jesus man what is up with you and all of those waifus! Are you secretly the "Ultimate Pimp"?

Duckman was brilliant. Also, the season of America's Got Talent has gotten off to a great start, especially with that 12 year old ventriloquist.

I just finished watching ScFy's newest series, Blood Drive. It's a distopia death match series where the cars run on human blood and freakyness is abound. It's pure grindhouse and it revels in it's cliches and even has fake commercials to go with it. (That and Thomas Dominique looks good naked.) So far, it's off to a good start.

I've started watching The Good Place and I've been getting into it; especially after I found out the really interesting twist in the start of season 2 where the four main characters are in an experiment made by a demon to trick them into thinking they're in The Good Place when they're really in Hell and supposed to spend eternity tormenting each other. The problem is that the head demon isn't doing all that well as of late.

Began watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine on Netflix recently, the first Star Trek series I've really watched in earnest. I've been enjoying it a lot, Odo is the man and SIsko is a mothafuckin' boss.

I love drag queens and I like crazy, bizarre shit so when my Amazon account suggested Dragula, I gave it a try. It appeals to my teenage years fascination of the demented and dark given that I was a major Clive Barker, Nine Inch Nails, some freak stuff and Adams family fan (though I dressed like a normal person). It's an odd show that takes a bit to get used to at first since it emphasizes the monstrous, but I'm now watching the second season and I'm oddly interested by it.
